Morningside Cottage on Little Platte Lake

MORNINGSIDE COTTAGE

Our cottage, with 200 ft of frontage on Little Platte Lake, is located on one and one-half acres of property covered in a mixture of hardwoods and evergreens fifty to sixty feet tall providing serenity and privacy during your visit. The cottage of about 1200 sq ft consists of a full kitchen, dining room, living room with stone fireplace and stereo system, two bedrooms with queen-sized beds, a small writing reading library room, a bath and a half with the full bath containing a tub and shower, washer and dryer, a large rec room downstairs with cable TV, DVD/VCR and wood-stove. The cottage, wood paneled and berber carpeted throughout, is heavily insulated and has electric base-board heat.  A fishing boat and motor are provided as well as a canoe, picnic table, gas grill, and fire pit.  Hard-wood firewood is provided.

Morningside Cottage is just three and a half-miles to Lake Michigan within the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, fifteen miles to the Interlochen National Music Camp, fifteen miles to Crystal Mountain, thirty-five miles to Traverse City, and with two casinos and ten golf courses within forty miles plus winery's, restaurants, gift shops, beaches galore and with all the other summer activities and festivities centered in Benzie County and the surrounding area you will have a fun-filled and active family stress release and relaxing  vacation at any time of the year.
